Triage Training
We are honored to have been visited by Medu-Prof instructor Philip Vriend who has endured both tropical storm Danny and tropical storm Erica in order to teach the triage system to the nursing staff.
With this training the Nurses will be equipped with the knowledge and the tools to adequately assign patients in degrees of urgency to be attended by our General Practitioners.
Our nurses are now empowered to carry out preliminary investigations which includes asking questions about illness, measuring vital signs, requesting blood tests, advising over the counter medication, scheduling follow up appointments and even requesting an x-ray in their process of patient assignment/sorting.
The triage system will also be applied to patients visiting the medical center after working hours and on the weekends .
